Information about the AKBARS cattery

Hello, my name is Elvira Shagabutdinova, my daughter Yana and I are the owners of the AKBARS Maine Coon cattery. Our cattery was founded in 2004. Since January 2008, registered with the WCF #080036.02.

Previously, we were engaged in another breed of cats. Once at the exhibition we saw a huge, kind giant, with luxurious tassels on high ears, huge shaggy paws! The muzzle is simply unrealistic... our amazement knew no bounds. This is how the acquaintance with the Maine Coon breed happened. It was love at first sight.

We thought it over for a very long time, weighed it, and finally decided to purchase these gorgeous cats. To say that Maine Coons are different from other cats is to say nothing. They are just strikingly different from them. They are not aggressive, not vindictive, very smart and observant, active and playful, follow all the rules established in the house, and have a natural "melodious" voice. They remember their name easily. Intelligent to the tip of the mustache. They do not really like to walk on your hands and remind with all their appearance: I am a beautiful cat, but a forest cat! The truth is they say that where one coon settled, another one will definitely appear, and this is how our friendly family grew.

In our cattery there are traditional Maine Coons and polydactyls. Polydacty are excellent representatives of the feline family, which differ from ordinary Maine Coons by the presence of additional toes. The distinctive appearance of the polydactyl cat gives it a uniqueness, its bone structure is broader and heavier, especially in the chest and forelegs.

All the animals of the AKBARS kennel are beloved family members, they are kept by small families in my big house in the village of Nagaevo, in my daughter's cottage and brother's apartment. Such a small number of animals in one territory contributes to an individual approach to each Maine Coon soul and guarantees her an attentive attitude. All representatives of males live separately from females, which removes the issue of unscheduled mating, allows planning breeding activities.

Cats and kittens living in the Akbars cattery grow in an atmosphere of care and love, thus achieving the correct development of each born kitten and accelerating its social adaptation — which is especially important when accepting a kitten into a new family. We send Maine Coon kittens to the regions accompanied by a courier. Kittens by this time have been vaccinated, treated for helminths, they fly in a carrier of the required type and size, with all the necessary documents.
